Better Oblivion Community Center held their first Portland meeting last Saturday night at the Doug Fir Lounge. Better Oblivion, comprised of indie rock queen Phoebe Bridgers and singer-songwriter Conor Oberst, describe their live show as a “healing sound bath – live in concert.” Inviting their attendees to “let the vibrations wash you clean, realigning and resonating in your journey toward serene healing and true bliss.” The duo playing an emotional and laughter filled set comprised of their full debut self titled LP, as well as an upbeat full band rendition of Bridgers solo single “Funeral.” By the end of the night, the sold out Doug Fir Lounge was so packed that you couldn’t escape the crowd to grab a tissue and wipe away those Phoebe Bridgers induced tears even if you wanted to.
